The first matchup with the 2014 Montreal Junior Lacrosse League champion Vermont Jr. Voyageurs proved to be a one-sided affair. Rochester jumped on the Voyageurs early and did not look back, easily winning the FNJBLL game 27-6.Vermont Connor Fields and Dan Lacrosse put the J-Hawks on the scoreboard first before Vermont responded with a pair of their own. Fields then scored his second of a team-high eight goals and Rochester were on their way to an 8-3 lead at first intermission. In the second period a 9-0 run by the J-Hawks left no doubt of the result. Rochester outscored Vermont 15-2 in the period to take a commanding 23-5 lead. University of Albany standout Fields (8 goals, 4 assists) led the Rochester offense while J.D.
