WarChiefs Clinch FNJBLL Regular Season

Seneca earn top seed in league playoffs

Two seasons, two titles. The Seneca WarChiefs clinched the regular season title with a 14-5 victory over second place Rochester J-Hawks on July 8. That win was their tenth of the FNJBLL season for Seneca, who are 22-0 all-time in regular season play.

Seneca have dominated league play all season, with the nine-goal victory over Rochester matching their pair of wins over Onondaga Jr. Redhawks as their closest margin of victory. The WarChiefs have outscored opponents 227-46 for an average of over 22 goals-per-game.

Work is not done for the WarChiefs, who have two more championships in their sights. Seneca will host the 2015 FNJBLL playoffs on July 24-25 at SNI Cattaraugus Community Center. The playoff winner earns a spot in the 2015 Founders’ Cup tournament, held this year in Calgary.

In 2014 Seneca were Silver medalist at the Founders’ Cup, losing the championship to Six Nations Rebels.
