Redhawks, WarChiefs Each Win A Pair In FNJBLL

Week 4 saw five league games played and just two teams stay unbeaten. Seneca WarChiefs (5-0) and Vermont Jr. Voyageurs (4-0) have yet to taste defeat, both with eyes on their July 12 showdown.

Tonawanda Jr. Braves welcomed Seneca to open the weekend at Logan Field Outdoor Box. The WarChiefs jumped on the host team early scoring nine in the opening frame on their way to a 25-8 victory.

The following night Seneca played host, although not very gracious, to the Rochester J-Hawks. Another big first period had the J-Hawks staring at a 7-0 deficit at first intermission. Rochester played tough in the second, outscored 6-5 before Seneca finished the game off strong in front of their home crowd. Final score: 18-6.

Three games were also played at Aréna Bill-Durnan in Montreal. Vermont traveled north on June 6 and came away with 16-6 win against the Jr. Shamrocks. Quebec also proved a productive road trip for the Onondaga Jr. Redhawks, who defeated Kanehsatake Jr. Warriors (25-3) and Montreal (15-4). The two wins has the Jr. Redhawks (3-3) alone in third place of the FNJBLL standings.
